Shri Prachin Raj Dwar Temple,Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh
Shri Prachin Raj Dwar Temple, situated in the Ramkot area of Ayodhya, which is known as the City of Lord Ram, is considered one of the tallest temples in the city. It is said that Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman passed through this temple when they went into exile. The Ramkot area is believed to have been the palace or royal court of Lord Ram. Since this temple served as the main entrance to his royal court, it is known as Shri Raj Dwar Temple. Lord Hanuman, a devotee of Lord Ram, guards the main entrance. Today, we know this place as the popular Shri Hanuman Garhi Temple in Ayodhya. Shri Raj Dwar Temple is regarded as the focal point of the city.

It is believed that the current structure of Shri Raj Dwar Temple is approximately 900 years old. The reconstruction of the present temple was carried out by the former king of Ayodhya, Maharaja Maan Singh. Lord Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman began their 14-year exile from this gate, and upon their victory in Lanka, they re-entered through the same entrance. Lord Shri Ram, along with his entire family, which includes Sita Ji, Lakshman Ji, and Hanuman Ji, is present in this temple.
