📖 The Significance of Gaya:
According to the Garuda Purana, Lord Vishnu transformed the body of the demon Gaya into this holy land. Since then, Pind Daan and Pitru rites performed here are believed to grant liberation (moksha) to the departed souls and welfare to the family.
