According to the Ramayana, when Lakshman Ji was injured and Hanuman Ji was on His way to bring the Sanjeevani herb, Ravana sent the demon Kalanemi to stop Him. Disguised as a Brahmin, Kalanemi began chanting Ram’s name to deceive Hanuman Ji. However, Hanuman recognized the deceit and destroyed him.
