Chandra Graha Dosh occurs when the Moon is afflicted in a person’s horoscope, often due to negative planetary influences or malefic aspects. This imbalance in the Moon’s position can lead to emotional instability, mood swings, mental stress, and difficulty in decision-making. According to religious texts, Chandra Dev is regarded as the deity of the mind, mental peace, and tranquillity. Therefore, to maintain mental balance and serenity, devotees worship Chandra Dev, and it is especially beneficial if this worship is performed at a Jyotirlinga. According to ancient stories, Chandra Dev had a special affection for his wife Rohini, angering his other wives. King Daksha cursed him to gradually diminish in size for 15 days.
