Pleased by her sincere devotion, Lord Shiva blessed her with a son. However, Sudaha grew jealous of her sister's happiness and, in a fit of cruelty, killed the child and threw his body into the pond. When Ghusma learned of this tragic event, she did not lose her faith. With a calm heart, she continued to worship Lord Shiva. Moved by her unwavering devotion, Lord Shiva appeared before her, brought her son back to life, and offered her a boon. Ghusma asked for her sister to be forgiven and requested that the Lord reside there forever. Lord Shiva granted her wish and declared that He would be known at this place as "Ghusmeshwar." Thus, the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga came into being. To this day, devotees perform 101 circumambulations (parikramas) of the temple in memory of Ghusma’s devotion, believing that where there is true faith, the Lord Himself manifests.
