✨ What is the story of Ucchista Ganesh? 🙏
In Sanatan Dharma, Sankashti Chaturthi holds great significance as it is dedicated to Lord Ganesh, who is revered as the Vighnaharta, the remover of all obstacles and difficulties. It is believed that Lord Ganesh governs the Muladhara Chakra, the root chakra associated with family, stability, and wealth. This signifies that Lord Ganesh is the fundamental cause of our happiness and peace, and nothing is possible without his blessings. The Muladhara Chakra serves as the foundation of our energy system. Awakening this chakra ensures stability, balance, and a smooth flow of energy in life. It symbolizes the boundary between divine and demonic forces. The demonic realm, located below the Muladhara Chakra, seeks to infiltrate the earthly plane with negativity. On the other hand, the divine realm, situated above the Sahasrara Chakra, is the abode of celestial energies. The Muladhara Chakra is our root, where the Kundalini Shakti resides in a dormant state. To awaken this Kundalini energy, the worship of Ucchista Ganesh is performed. Ucchista Ganesh is known to remove obstacles and confine negative forces beneath the Muladhara Chakra, thus maintaining spiritual and material harmony
Ucchista Ganapati is a tantric form of Lord Ganesh, whose worship brings immense benefits. According to legend, there was a demon named Vidyavan, whose reign of terror caused great distress to everyone. He could only be killed by someone who was neither human nor animal. Lord Ganesh fulfilled this condition. However, another condition was that the demon could only be killed while he was asleep, and Riddhi and Siddhi were unwilling to assist in this task. At that time, all the deities and sages performed a Yagya (sacred fire ritual) with Atharva Veda mantras. From this Yagya emerged Goddess Neel Saraswati in the form of divine power. With the help of Neel Saraswati, Lord Ganesh defeated the demon. From that moment, the worship of Lord Ganesh as Ucchista Ganapati began. On the auspicious occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, a Muladhara Jagriti Pujan and Ucchista Ganesh Tantrokta Mahayagya will be organized at the Shri Chintamani Ganesh Temple in Kashi.
