🕉️ The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Shri Ganesha. On this day, devotees worship Him with full rituals. Shri Ganesh Ji is called Vighnaharta (Remover of Obstacles) and Mangalakarta (Bestower of Auspiciousness). On Ganesh Chaturthi, the main traditions are Panchamrit Abhishek, offering of Durva grass, Modaks, and red flowers. 🐚 We all know that Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with grandeur across the country and the world. According to Puranic story, while Maa Parvati was bathing, she created a boy from the paste of her body and placed him at the door to guard. When Lord Shiva came, Lord Ganesha stopped Him from entering. Angered, Lord Shiva cut off His head. Maa Parvati was grief-stricken, then on the advice of the gods, Lord Vishnu brought the head of an elephant and Lord Shiva placed it on Shri Ganesha’s body. Thus Lord Ganesha was born and blessed as the First-Worshiped and Vighnaharta. From then, the beautiful tradition of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi began.
🔱 Beginning on Ganesh Chaturthi, this Anushthan will continue for 10 days until Anant Chaturdashi, ending with Partheshwar Ganesh Visarjan. In this, the clay or earthen idol of Ganesh Ji, worshiped for all ten days, will be immersed in water. This Visarjan symbolizes that life is temporary and everything eventually merges into the five elements. Devotees take part in this Anushthan to seek fulfillment of wishes, relief from troubles, and the blessings of happiness and prosperity.
