💫 One story of Karwa Chauth is also linked to the Mahabharata, in which Draupadi observed a fast for the long lives of her husbands. According to this tale, when the Pandavas were in exile, Draupadi prayed to Lord Sri Krishna for the longevity of her husbands. Sri Krishna advised her to observe the Karwa Chauth fast. Draupadi performed this fast with complete faith and devotion, which strengthened the path for the Pandavas' victory and their return. Through this fast, Draupadi demonstrated her faith and love, a tradition that is followed by married women even today. To receive the grace of the ideal couple, Mahadev and Maa Gauri, in one's relationship, this Ashirwad Puja is considered manifoldly fruitful.

It is said that the marriage of Shiva and Parvati was solemnized in this massive Havan Kund (sacrificial fire pit), with fire lit in all four directions. This divine wedding ceremony was attended by all the gods and saints, including Brahma and Vishnu. Even today, devotees take the ash from this Havan Kund home, considering it a blessing for their happy married life. The name Triyuginarayan originated because signs of three yugas are seen here, representing the divine relationships of Lord Vishnu, Shiva, and Parvati. The temple complex houses four important ponds (kunds): Rudrakund, Vishnu Kund, Brahmakund, and Saraswati Kund. The water of these kunds is considered very sacred, as this is where the deities bathed during the Shiva-Parvati wedding. Notably, the water of the Saraswati Kund is believed to originate from the navel of Vishnu, which further enhances its religious importance.
