Janmashtami is considered a supremely sacred and joyous day in Sanatan Dharma as It marks the divine birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. According to the Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Shiv Ji once composed a powerful hymn in praise of Krishna, known as the Shambhukrit Sri Krishna Stotra. In it, Shiva lovingly describes Krishna as the master of the universe, the giver of joy and liberation, the one who destroys all sin and grants eternal peace. Deeply moved by Krishna’s divine play and supreme form, Shiv Ji bowed his head and declared that whoever chants this stotra with faith would be protected from sorrow, defeat, and negativity, and would be blessed with wisdom, prosperity, and victory.
