In India, there are only a few famous temples dedicated to Goddess Varahi. Among these, the Shri Varahi Temple in Devidhura, Uttarakhand, is a prominent Shaktipeeth. It is believed that the teeth of Goddess Sati fell here. The idol of the Goddess is so powerful at this temple, that no one can look directly at it. Therefore, the idol is kept in a glass and copper case, allowing devotees to have her Darshan. In this temple, both Goddess Varahi and Lord Varaha are worshipped.
