🔱 Pratipada | Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj | 27 September 2026
Known as Tirthraj, the King of all Tirthas, where Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati converge, and the Agni Purana promises every offering here generates Akshaya Punya - merit that cannot decay across any generation. The first diya of this Sankalp enters the holiest waters in creation.
🔱 Ashtami | Gokarna Teertha Kshetra | 3 October 2026
Gokarna is home to Shiva's Atmalinga, one of the most powerful and difficult to reach Teerths in all of Hinduism. Ashtami carries the Rudra energy of the grandfather's ancestral tier. A Diya here reaches the intermediate plane where the grandfather's soul dwells, through Shiva's own Rudra grace.

Navami is the sacred tithi for maternal ancestors, Matru Navami. Bindhu Sarovar in Siddhpur is Matru Gaya, the one Teertha in all of Hinduism uniquely prescribed for the liberation of mothers and maternal ancestors. Here Parashuram performed his matru-shraddha for Renuka. A Diya on these waters on this tithi reaches the maternal line that most Shraddh never addresses.

The southern supreme site where Shiva and Vishnu's grace converge in one sacred geography, and where Rama himself performed Shraddh for his ancestors before crossing to Lanka. The 22 theerthams of Rameshwaram each carry a different dimension of ancestral grace. A Diya here floats where the Lord himself once stood in the act of remembrance.

Ekadashi belongs to Vishnu and Haridwar is his own city, the place where the Ganga first touches the plains. The scriptural promise here is among the most expansive in the tradition: by this rite, ancestors up to twenty-one earlier generations are redeemed. A Diya at Haridwar on Ekadashi does not reach one ancestor. It reaches the entire lineage.

The final and most powerful tithi of Pitru Paksha, the day that honours every ancestor, known and unknown, named and unnamed. The Garuda Purana declares: no spot in Gaya is not a Tirtha. Whoever performs Pitru Karma at Gaya liberates their ancestors from whatever state they are in. The last Diya of this Sankalp carries your final act of remembrance to every ancestor your lineage has ever carried.
