🌳Varuthini Ekadashi, observed in Vaishakha Krishna Paksha, is described in the Bhavishya Uttara Purana as a highly protective Ekadashi. The name "Varuthini" comes from the Sanskrit word "varuth," meaning armor or protection.
📙The Bhavishya Uttara Purana narrates that King Mandhata, a righteous ruler, once lost his kingdom, wealth, and prosperity due to the influence of time and karma. Distressed, he approached Sage Vasishtha, who advised him to observe Varuthini Ekadashi with complete devotion and fasting. After observing this Ekadashi, King Mandhata regained his lost kingdom, wealth, and glory.
