🌊One teerth is not enough to carry every ancestor home. The Garuda Purana clearly states that our ancestors do not reside in one place as their karma determines their realm. Tarpan at one Teerth, only opens a channel to one realm. But when performed across 4 teerths, it reaches all realms and to every corner of the Pitru world.
📍Assi Ghat, Kashi: The Kashi Khand declares that Lord Vishwanath himself witnesses every Pitru rite performed at this sacred ghat. He whispers the Taraka Mantra, the liberating name into the ear of every soul whose descendant performs Tarpan here.
📍Ganga Ghat, Haridwar: This is where Bhagirath's penance moved the heavens, bringing moksha to his 60,000 ancestors. When you perform Tarpan here, you stand in that same lineage of devotion. The Ganga who answered Bhagirath hears you too.
📍Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj: The Padma Purana says that Tarpan performed at the Triveni Sangam, where Ganga, Yamuna, and the unseen Saraswati converge reaches all 14 worlds simultaneously. There is no realm your ancestors can be in that this Tarpan does not reach.
📍Shipra Ghat, Ujjain: The Skanda Purana mentions that "Whatever is offered to the Pitrus at Shipra's banks, it becomes Akshaya (eternal)." Lord Rama himself came to this very ghat to perform Tarpan for his father, Maharaj Dashrath.
