History of the Vaishno Mata Mandir

Once upon a time, Vaishno Mata appeared in the dream of Mrs. Surinder Kaur and blessed her. The Goddess expressed the wish for a grand temple in Indore and her devotee followed it. Surinder Kaur initiated the construction of Vaishno Dham in 2009 and it took four years to complete the grand structure. Magnificent and majestic, the caves were built in 7 months.

Significance of the Vaishno Mata Mandir

Devotees attain peace and spiritual bliss when they tour through the caves built on the hilly terrains. When one visits the temple, one obtains the darshan of Goddesses Riddhi and Siddhi together with Vighnaharta Lord Ganesha first. Further, the soothing sounds of birds and waterfalls uplift the minds and bodies of all visitors. Moving through the caves, the devotees reach Shivdham, the divine abode of the Shiv Parivar. Further, an idol of Lord Hanuman is also placed close to the central deities and the temple houses idols of Lord Kal Bhairava and Sai Baba. Notably, the three pinds and incessant fire (Akhand Jyoti) were brought from Katra. A symbol of divine presence, the flame continues to date without a pause.

Architecture of the Vaishno Mata Mandir

The architecture of Indore’s Vaishno Dham Mandir is very similar to the Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra. The devotees pass through many caves before reaching the sanctum sanctorum which shelters the central deities. Crafted out of the hills, the sight of the caves presents unmatched beauty which charms everyone. Additionally, it also includes several waterfalls.
