Shri Jugal Kishore Ji Temple is one of the ancient and sacred temples in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. History of the Shri Jugal Kishore Ji Temple

Shri Jugal Kishore Temple is one of the oldest temples in Vrindavan. It was built in 1627 by Nankaran and is the fourth major temple built in Vrindavan, after Govind Dev, Madan Mohan, and Gopinath temples. The temple belongs to the Vaishnav tradition and is a part of Vrindavan's deep spiritual history.

The temple is built near Keshi Ghat, the sacred spot where Lord Krishna killed the horse demon Keshi. Keshi Ghat is a holy bathing place, and many devotees take a dip here to purify themselves. Architecture of the Shri Jugal Kishore Ji Temple

The temple is made of red sandstone and stands tall enough to be seen from across the Yamuna River. Its design is similar to the Madan Mohan and Govind Dev temples. The entrance is decorated with beautiful carvings of flowers, birds, and Lord Krishna lifting the Govardhan mountain. The temple has a large assembly hall (25 square feet) and three entrances east, north, and south. Although the sanctum sanctorum has been damaged, the temple still reflects remarkable ancient craftsmanship.
