Located in Kolkata, West Bengal, Kalighat Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths in Hindu tradition. It is dedicated to Goddess Kali, who represents power, energy, and transformation. According to mythology, the toe of Goddess Sati’s right foot fell here when Lord Shiva was carrying her body during his cosmic dance.
