🪷 A sacred opportunity to participate in Pitru Dosha Shanti Mahapuja in Kashi on the special Ekadashi of Phalguna month 🪷

🪶 The sacred day of Phalguna Krishna Ekadashi is considered highly auspicious for performing Pitru Shanti rituals. It is believed that ancestral rites performed with devotion on this day express remembrance, gratitude, and satisfaction toward one’s forefathers. Kashi is known as the land of liberation, which gives special spiritual significance to the Pitru Shanti Mahapuja conducted here. Rituals like tarpana and mantra chanting are regarded as ways to express gratitude to ancestors and restore spiritual harmony within the family. The Phalguna month itself is considered a time for self-reflection and purification, making this period ideal for seeking both inner and outer peace through Pitru Shanti worship.

🪔 According to traditional beliefs, Pitru Dosha is associated with disharmony and obstacles within the family. It is believed that when ancestral remembrance and offerings are not properly performed, subtle imbalances may affect the household environment. Situations like unexplained stress, emotional distance, or mental unrest are often viewed in this context. Therefore, the Pitru Dosha Shanti Puja performed by learned priests on this Ekadashi is seen as an act of duty, reverence, and devotion. This ritual is believed to help express respect toward ancestors and foster harmony within the family.

🍃 The Pishach Mochan Kund of Varanasi has been regarded since ancient times as a sacred pilgrimage site. It is believed that bathing, tarpana, and ancestral rites performed here bring deep spiritual peace. Scriptures describe this place as associated with the liberation and relief of souls. Tarpana performed here on Ekadashi symbolizes gratitude to ancestors through water offerings, mantras, and remembrance.

🪶 The Ganga Aarti of Kashi is also deeply connected with the spirit of Pitru Shanti. Offering lamps, prayers, and tarpana on the banks of the Ganga is believed to honor ancestral memories. The chanting of mantras, ringing of bells, and glowing lamps create an atmosphere of devotion and serenity, symbolizing reverence, remembrance, and blessings for the ancestors.

🌸 On this sacred occasion, the Pitru Dosha Shanti Mahapuja and Ganga Aarti in Kashi are regarded as powerful means of expressing devotion and spiritual connection with one’s forefathers. Devotees can participate through Sri Mandir and offer their faith and gratitude in this holy ritual.

Pishach Mochan Kund, Assi Ghat, Kashi, Uttar Pradesh

Pishach Mochan Kund, Assi Ghat, Kashi, Uttar Pradesh
Kashi, also known as the City of Liberation, is regarded as the supreme pilgrimage site for Pitru Shanti (peace of ancestors) and attainment of Moksha. It is believed that one who breathes their last in Kashi attains liberation. Hence, many devotees choose to spend their final days here.

The Pishach Mochan Kund in Kashi is particularly famous for Pitru Dosh Shanti. Its reference appears in the Garuda Purana and Kashi Khand, where it is said that performing Pind Daan, Tarpan, and Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja at this sacred site fulfills the unfulfilled desires of ancestors and grants them peace and liberation.

The history of Pishach Mochan Kund is ancient. It is said to predate even the descent of the Ganga on earth. This site is connected to the story of a Brahmin who, due to his past deeds, became a Pishach (spirit). Following the guidance of Sage Valmiki, he worshiped Kapardeshwar Mahadev and bathed in the Kund, attaining liberation. Since then, this place has been known as Pishach Mochan - the site of release from lower states of existence.

Assi Ghat, situated in Varanasi on the banks of the holy Ganga, is one of the most revered spiritual places in India. Pilgrims from across India and abroad come here to take holy dips, believing that the sacred waters wash away sins and open the path to Moksha. Bathing on auspicious occasions, participating in the Ganga Aarti, and offering prayers at Assi Ghat are believed to bring blessings of health, prosperity, spiritual progress, and peace for both the living and the departed ancestors.
