Kalighat Temple, located in Kolkata, West Bengal, is one of the 51 Shaktipeethas in Hinduism and is considered an important pilgrimage site. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali, who is revered as the Goddess of power, energy, and destruction. According to mythology, the toe of Goddess Sati’s right foot fell here when Lord Shiva was performing the Tandava carrying her body.
