Sharadiya Navratri is celebrated across India as a symbol of faith and devotion. This nine-day festival commemorates the victory of good over evil. According to the legend, when the demon Mahishasura created terror in all three worlds and even defeated the gods, the deities invoked Maa Adishakti. Responding to their call, Maa Durga fought continuously for nine days and nights and finally slew Mahishasura on the tenth day, protecting dharma and truth. Since then, each of these nine days has been considered significant for worshipping different forms of the Goddess. It is believed that a seeker may receive unique strength and blessings by worshipping the Goddess’s forms on each day of Navratri.
