Before the sanctum sanctorum is closed, a cloth is offered to the Shri Mahamudra Yantra, which is later distributed among devotees as prasad after the doors are reopened. After three days, the sanctum sanctorum is reopened, and the Shri Mahamudra Yantra is ceremonially bathed (Maha Abhishek), and devotees can witness the annual darshan of the Yantra. This festival is celebrated every year in June during the Ardra Nakshatra, according to the lunar calendar. During this festival, the 108 Parikrama hold special significance. The consecrated red cloth and the sacred water from the Abhishek are considered highly beneficial for religious rituals, tantric practices, and alleviating sufferings. Inside the sanctum sanctorum, one of Kashi’s Ashta Bhairavas, Shri Krodhan Bhairav, along with Shri Bhadrakali, Hanuman Ji, and Shri Chausath Yogini, are enshrined. In the temple premises, Shri Dhrishneshwar Jyotirlinga, Shri Dhannanjay Koop, Shri Pratyangira Devi, Shri Jeevit Samadhi, and Shri Akhand Dhuna, among other deities, are also present.
