Pleased by her devotion, Lord Shiva blessed her with a son. However, consumed by jealousy, Sudeha killed the child and threw his body into the pond. When Ghusma learned of this, she remained calm and continued her worship without anger or despair. Deeply moved by her unshakable faith, Lord Shiva appeared before her, restored her son’s life, and asked her to seek a boon. Ghusma forgave her sister and requested that the Lord reside eternally at that spot. Lord Shiva agreed and declared that He would be worshipped there as Grishneshwar. To this day, devotees perform 101 circumambulations of the temple, honoring Ghusma’s devotion and the Lord’s promise to appear wherever true faith exists.
