Darsh Amavasya Special: 5 Mahvidya Special Maa Bagalamukhi, Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Shodashi, and Maa Bhuvaneshwari Shakti Samriddhi Maha Yagya For Shielding against Negativity and Invoke Abundance

🛕 Why perform the Shakti-Samriddhi 5 Mahavidya Maha Hawan Anushthan on Darsh Amavasya? 🛕

Darsh Amavasya, the new moon night, is a time of darkness, where the spiritual realm is most receptive to the divine energies we invoke. In Hindu tradition, Amavasya represents a powerful time when negative energies and spiritual blockages are at their peak, creating challenges in life. The absence of the moon symbolizes the absence of clarity, and it is during this time that we feel the weight of confusion, emotional instability, and unresolved karmic patterns. This is the reason why performing the 5 Mahavidya Anushthan on Darsh Amavasya at Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple is considered essential. By invoking the blessings of Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Shodashi, Maa Bhuvaneshwari, and Maa Bagalamukhi, devotees can protect themselves from negative forces, resolve inner conflicts, and invite abundance and peace into their lives.

Maa Bagalamukhi, the goddess of protection and victory, is called upon to protect us from spiritual harm, overcome enemies, and neutralize negative energies.

Maa Kali, the goddess of destruction and transformation, is called upon to remove obstacles, purify the mind, and ward off the darkness that clouds the heart and soul.

Maa Tara, who provides spiritual guidance and compassion, helps her devotees navigate through challenging times, offering the wisdom and clarity needed to find a way through confusion and difficulty.

Maa Shodashi, the embodiment of beauty, balance, and divine completeness, brings harmony into chaotic lives. Her blessings are believed to restore peace, attraction, and spiritual fulfillment.

Maa Bhuvaneshwari, the goddess of creation and abundance, is invoked to invite growth, nourishment, and prosperity. During this dark phase, her blessings illuminate the path to spiritual and material growth.

The Mahavidyas are forms of Devi Durga who embody different aspects of the divine feminine power. Their energies are deeply connected to protection, transformation, and spiritual growth, making them especially potent during Amavasya when dark energies are believed to be at their strongest. Each Mahavidya has a unique role, but together, they are believed to provide greater divine protection, emotional healing, and cosmic balance.

Join this Puja through Sri Mandir and experience the powerful blessings of the 5 Mahavidyas, who, with their divine grace, will help you shield yourself from negativity and usher in a future filled with abundance and harmony. 🙏😇

Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple, Kolkata, West Bengal

Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple, Kolkata, West Bengal
The Kalighat Temple, located in Kolkata, West Bengal, is one of the 51 sacred Shaktipeethas in Hinduism and is considered a highly holy and important pilgrimage site. This temple is dedicated to Maa Kali, the goddess of power, energy, and destruction. According to ancient beliefs, when Lord Shiva was performing the Tandava dance while carrying Sati’s body, it was here that the toe of her right foot fell. This is why this site holds a significant place among the Shaktipeethas. Inside the sanctum (garbhagriha), a fierce and awakened form of Maa Kali is enshrined. In this form, Maa Kali is depicted standing on Lord Shiva’s chest, wearing a garland of severed heads, holding a cleaver and a decapitated head, with skulls tied around her waist. Her tongue is protruding, and a few drops of blood are shown dripping from it. A special feature of this idol is that her tongue is made of gold.

The current temple was constructed under the patronage of the Saborno Roychoudhury family & Babu Kaliproshad Dutto, with construction starting in 1798 and completing in 1809. The Kali Ghat Temple holds immense religious and cultural significance. For centuries, it has been a centre of attraction for devotees who come here to fulfil their wishes. Worship of Goddess Kali at Kalighat liberates devotees from fear, negativity, and malevolent energies, bringing peace, prosperity, and success in life. Additionally, the temple is a symbol of Bengal's cultural heritage and hosts grand celebrations during religious festivals, especially Durga Puja and Kali Puja.
