🤔What is the interesting legend associated with it?
Makar Sankranti is one of the first major festivals in Hinduism after the new year and holds a special place. Since then, this victory of Lord Vishnu has been celebrated as the festival of Makar Sankranti. Therefore, this day is considered highly auspicious for worshiping Lord Vishnu. Therefore, on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, Satyanarayan Katha, 51,000 Vishnu Dwadakshari Mantra Jaap and Sudarshana Homa will be organized in Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to the Skanda Purana, Lord Satyanarayan is a form of Lord Vishnu.
