Another tale from the Mahabharata tells how Hanuman Ji humbled Bhima’s pride by showing his true divine strength—also on a Tuesday in Jyeshtha. These legends make Bada Mangal deeply sacred.
🔱 How Hanuman Ji Defeated Ahiravan and Mahiravan?
According to ancient legends, Ahiravan and Mahiravan, tantric lords of Patal Lok, abducted Lord Ram and Lakshman on Ravana’s orders to sacrifice them. While the Vanar Sena fell into a magical sleep, Hanuman Ji stayed awake and descended into Patal Lok. To destroy the demons, he had to extinguish five magical lamps burning in different directions—simultaneously. Hanuman Ji invoked Maa Kali, who blessed him with the power to take the fierce Panchmukhi form.
