Kashi – Known as the City of Liberation, Kashi is home to the Pishach Mochan Kund, which is regarded as a sacred site for ancestral peace. As mentioned in the Garuda Purana and the Kashi Khand, offering Pind Daan and Tarpan at this kund helps fulfill the unfulfilled desires of the ancestors and grants them ultimate peace. According to an ancient legend, a Brahmin who was cursed into a demon (pishach) form attained salvation by bathing here and worshiping Lord Shiva.
