According to ancient legends, during the prolonged war between the gods and demons, Lord Kuberās treasury became empty and Goddess Lakshmi grew concerned. They both approached Lord Shiva for help. Shiva advised them to worship Swarnakarshan Bhairav. Following His advice, they performed intense penance, and pleased with their devotion, Bhairav appeared and blessed them with a rain of gold, restoring prosperity. It is believed that worshipping Swarnakarshan Bhairav removes financial troubles and brings wealth and stability.
