🔶 In the Hindu calendar, the end of the Sawan month marks the beginning of Bhadrapada - a time rich with festivals like Janmashtami and Anant Chaturdashi, celebrated with great devotion. It is believed that when devotees sincerely join the Vighnaharta Puja and Havan, Lord Ganesha becomes pleased in His Vighnaraja form and turns obstacles into achievements. The combination of Chaturthi and Wednesday is especially potent, as this day is considered sacred and beloved to Lord Ganesha.
A popular legend tells us that the day Goddess Parvati created Lord Ganesha, the deity Mercury (Budhdev) was also present at Mount Kailash. Impressed by Ganesha’s divine presence, Budhdev dedicated his own day - Wednesday - to Him. Hence, worshipping Lord Ganesha on Wednesdays is believed to yield particularly strong results. Scriptures also mention that remembering Ganesha on this day naturally dissolves life’s obstacles.
