The final two days of Gupt Navratri, Ashtami and Navami, are considered the most significant for spiritual practices, tantric worship and divine blessings. These days are extremely important for seekers because the worship performed during this period is believed to give faster results and helps eliminate unseen obstacles, financial hurdles and mental confusion. This year, the Ashtami of Gupt Navratri brings a powerful combination for devotees of Lord Shiva and Navami for worshippers of the Goddess, with two special rituals being performed.
This ritual begins with the Rudrabhishek of Lord Neelkantheshwar at the Batuk Bhairav Temple, a way to receive blessings from Lord Shiva in his fierce and protective form. This Rudrabhishek will be performed using Vedic mantras and special tantric methods which help in calming fear, illness, enemy disturbances and negative energies. Similarly, at the Shaktipeeth Maa Tarapith Temple, a Tantrokta Yagya dedicated to Maa Tara will be performed. Maa Tara is one of the ten Mahavidyas and is worshipped as the one who rescues from crises, destroys enemies and grants liberation. This yagya is especially beneficial for those experiencing repeated delays, indecision or facing hidden enemy forces.
Additionally, on the Navami Tithi, Kanya Pujan and Bhoj will be conducted where nine young girls will be worshipped as representations of the nine forms of the Goddess. This ritual completes the Gupt Navratri sadhana. It is believed that sincere worship of the nine girls brings the blessings of the Goddess and results start appearing quickly in life. This two-day ritual is a blend of sadhana, protection and siddhi. Lord Shiva’s blessings provide inner strength and relief from troubles. Maa Tara’s worship helps eliminate fear, confusion and hostility. The final Kanya Pujan brings completion to the sadhana and fills life with auspiciousness.
