At that time, from the mouth of Goddess Parvati, Goddess Kaushiki appeared and waged a battle against the demons. However, every time a demon was killed, its blood fell to the earth, giving birth to new demons. Seeing this, Goddess Kaushiki furrowed her brows, and from her forehead, Goddess Kali appeared. Goddess Kali not only killed the demons but also drank their blood, which stopped the birth of new demons.
The gods requested Goddess Kali to reside here, making this place sacred. Since then, the Kalkaji Temple has become the center of Maa Kalka's blessings.
