This child absorbed the blood of the demon and turned red in color. The gods then established a Shivling at that very spot and named it Mangalnath Mahadev. This temple, located in Ujjain, is revered as the birthplace of Mars. For this reason, the puja will be performed at Mangalnath Mahadev Temple on the last Tuesday of Sawan.
