🌕 Why is there eternal enmity between Rahu and the Moon?
As per legend, during the churning of the cosmic ocean, the demon Swarbhanu disguised himself as a god and drank the nectar of immortality. The Moon and the Sun exposed his identity, and Lord Vishnu severed his head with the Sudarshan Chakra. However, since Swarbhanu had tasted the nectar, he became immortal. His head became Rahu, and his torso became Ketu. Since then, Rahu has harbored enmity towards the Moon and seeks to eclipse it from time to time, thus creating this dosh.
