Devi Yamuna selflessly asked that any brother who receives a tilak from his sister on this day should be freed from the fear of untimely death. Lord Yamaraj lovingly agreed, making this day a promise of protection for all brothers.
This sacred puja is performed at the very place in Mathura where this divine event is believed to have taken place. With the chanting of 21,000 mool mantras, we pray to Lord Dharmaraj for his grace.
