Kaal Bhairav severed the fifth head of Brahma that had spoken against Shiva, but that head would not separate from Kaal Bhairav’s hand. Then Lord Shiva said to Kaal Bhairav, “You have now incurred the sin of Brahma-hatya (the killing of Brahma). The only way to erase this sin is to wander through the three worlds.
