Devshayani Chaturmas Shakti Awakening Yatra Begins Sati-Shakti Smriti Paath at Dirgh Vishnu Mandir & Maa Katyayani Shaktipeeth for Breaking Inner Blocks, Releasing Past Pain, and Gaining Mental Clarity

🛕 Is the pain of the past so overwhelming that the present seems unclear?

Often, a person feels so helpless and defeated by their past that they lose clarity in the present. Mental unrest grows to such an extent that the path to growth and prosperity appears distant. It is said that in such darkness, when there is no visible support or light, the divine forms of Lord Vishnu and Maa Katyayani are the only ones who can uplift the devotee.

The worship of Lord Vishnu and Maa Katyayani on the auspicious day of Devshayani Ekadashi is considered especially powerful. According to scriptures, Maa Katyayani is the sixth form of Goddess Durga, the embodiment of strength and courage, who blesses her devotees by removing all kinds of obstacles. It is believed that worshipping her grants strength, destroys internal blocks, and significantly enhances mental clarity.

🛕 Why is Sati-Shakti Smriti Paath being performed at Dirgh Vishnu Temple and Maa Katyayani Shaktipeeth on Devshayani Ekadashi?

Devshayani Ekadashi marks the beginning of Lord Vishnu’s divine sleep and the onset of Chaturmas in Hindu tradition. During this four-month period, most auspicious events are avoided. However, certain spiritual rituals performed during this time are believed to yield multiplied results.

On this sacred occasion, the Sati-Shakti Smriti Paath is being organized at the Dirgh Vishnu Temple and Maa Katyayani Shaktipeeth. This ritual is performed in remembrance of Goddess Sati, keeping in mind the divine cosmic cycle. Goddess Sati was the first consort of Lord Shiva, and after her demise, she reincarnated as Goddess Parvati. It is believed that through her grace, devotees receive relief from mental suffering and blessings of prosperity.

🛕 Why is the Sati-Shakti Smriti Paath considered one of the most effective remedies for overcoming suffering?

Devshayani Chaturmas is a significant spiritual phase, symbolizing Lord Vishnu’s divine rest. During this time, most auspicious ceremonies are paused. Only a select few rituals are considered beneficial during this period, those that protect the devotee from misfortune and grant unwavering peace and prosperity. Among them is the special worship of the divine form of Goddess Sati.

Through Sri Mandir, devotees can now participate in the Sati-Shakti Smriti Paath organized at the Dirgh Vishnu Temple and Maa Katyayani Shaktipeeth in Mathura, and receive the divine blessing of liberation from past pain.

Shri Dirgh Vishnu Temple and Shaktipeeth Maa Katyayani Temple, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh

Shri Dirgh Vishnu Temple and Shaktipeeth Maa Katyayani Temple, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh
Located in Mathura, the Shri Dirgh Vishnu Temple is believed to date back to the era of Lord Krishna. The deity enshrined here is said to be the only such form of Lord Vishnu in India. It is believed that anyone who bows in devotion here is freed from all sorrow by Lord Vishnu himself. The Dirgh Vishnu Temple is mentioned in ancient texts like the Varaha Purana, Narada Purana, and Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. Lord Vishnu is said to have proclaimed that there is no place on Earth, in space, or the underworld as dear to him as Mathura. Established over 4,500 years ago, this temple was built to commemorate Lord Krishna’s six-armed form and to protect the holy confluence of the Yamuna. The deity here represents the vast cosmic form Lord Krishna revealed during the slaying of Kansa.

Meanwhile, the Maa Katyayani Shaktipeeth in Vrindavan, Mathura, is one of the 51 revered Shaktipeeths and is dedicated to Goddess Parvati in her Katyayani form. This temple was established on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Magha by a saint named Keshavananda Maharaj, a devout follower of Maa Katyayani. Legend has it that she appeared in his dream, asking him to build a temple for her in Vrindavan. According to Hindu mythology, when Goddess Sati’s body was dismembered by Lord Vishnu’s Sudarshan Chakra, the places where her body parts fell became known as Shaktipeeths.
