In the Nav Chandi Puja and Homam, all these nine forms are worshipped through sacred mantras, fire offerings, and chanting the Durga Saptashati, also called the Chandi Path. This ancient text has 700 verses from Devi Mahatmyam praising how the Goddess defeated demons like Mahishasura, Shumbha, and Nishumbha. Listening to or chanting these verses during the Homam is said to awaken Shakti, both within and around you.
