It is believed that performing the Chaturveda Parayanam Puja, Shri Rudram, and Shri Suktam Path at this temple grants the blessings of Lord Ayyappa for fulfilling all desires and overcoming ignorance and evil. Therefore, Sri Mandir is organizing a special ritual at the Ayyappa Swamy Temple in Haridwar, where 10 Brahmins will perform the Chaturveda Parayanam Puja, Shri Rudram, and Shri Suktam Path. This puja will last for 7 hours continuously. During the puja, the temple premises will be purified with a mixture of cow dung and turmeric water. Following this, parts of all the four Vedas (Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda or Atharvaveda) will be recited. Subsequently, the Shri Rudram and Shri Suktam Path, as described in the Vedas, will also be chanted. It is believed that participating in this puja at the Ayyappa Swamy Temple in Haridwar grants blessings for a transformative journey toward the fulfillment of all wishes and victory over evil and ignorance.
