According to this boon, Lord Dhanvantari was born as the son of King Kash in Kashi. Later, he took education in Ayurveda from Rishi Bharadwaj, divided it into eight parts, and attained deep knowledge related to health to show the world the path to a healthy life.

Shri Omkareshwar comes fourth among the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is considered self-manifested.
