Gupt Navratri Ashtami Shakti-Samriddhi 5 Mahavidya Anushthan Maa Bagalamukhi, Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Shodashi, and Maa Bhuvaneshwari Shakti Samriddhi Maha Yagya For Negativity Shielding and Abundance

🛕Why is the Shakti-Samriddhi 5 Mahavidya Mahayagya Ritual significant on Gupt Navratri Ashtami?🛕

In Hinduism, Gupt Navratri is observed twice a year in the months of Magha and Ashadha. During this period, the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped, empowering the devotee with strength, courage, and spiritual progress. Unlike the public celebration of Sharadiya or Chaitra Navratri, Gupt Navratri is a period of inner sadhana, where tantric rituals are believed to be highly effective.

On the Ashtami tithi of Ashadha Gupt Navratri, special worship is offered to Maa Bagalamukhi, who is considered the goddess of paralyzing and stopping harmful energies. Rituals performed during this spiritually charged period are said to yield powerful results. It is believed that the divine energy of the goddess is especially active during this time, enabling the quick fulfillment of desires and providing liberation from hardships, mental stress, enemy troubles, and spiritual blockages. This is not just a time of devotion, but a sacred opportunity for inner purification and spiritual attainment.
Understanding the power and significance of each of the five Mahavidyas invoked during this ritual is equally important:

👉 Maa Kali is the goddess of time, power, and destruction. She removes life’s hardships and blesses her devotees with fearlessness and a renewed life force.

👉 Maa Tara is the primary goddess of tantric practices. She grants guidance, compassion, and spiritual insight to help devotees navigate difficult phases of life.

👉 Maa Shodashi, also known as Tripura Sundari, represents beauty, balance, and divinity. Worshipping her brings charm, harmony, and spiritual fulfillment into life.

👉 Maa Bhuvaneshwari is the goddess of creation and abundance. She blesses her devotees with growth, nourishment, and prosperity.

👉 Maa Bagalamukhi is the goddess of control, victory, and protection. She empowers devotees to overcome enemies, disputes, and all forms of adversity.

Join this powerful Gupt Navratri Ashtami Shakti-Samriddhi 5 Mahavidya Pija through Sri Mandir and receive divine blessings from the five Mahavidyas to eliminate negativity from your life. 🙏😇

Bagalamukhi Jayanti, celebrated on Vaishakh Shukla Ashtami, symbolizes the divine presence of Maa Bagalamukhi at Haridra Sarovar and is considered the holiest day for her worship. On this powerful day, thousands of devotees engage in spiritual practices, perform yajnas, and seek divine intervention for protection and victory—especially at the sacred Kalighat Temple. Located in Kolkata, West Bengal, Kalighat Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in Hinduism and holds immense spiritual significance. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali, who is revered as the goddess of power, energy, and destruction. According to legend, this is the site where the right toe of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva performed the Tandava dance of destruction while carrying her corpse. Due to this divine event, Kalighat is considered one of the most sacred among the 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple houses a fierce idol of Goddess Kali. In this form, the goddess is depicted with her foot on Lord Shiva’s chest, wearing a garland of severed heads, holding a cleaver and other heads in her hands, and with severed heads tied around her waist. Her tongue is extended outward, with drops of blood dripping from it. Notably, her tongue is made of gold.

The current structure of the temple was constructed under the patronage of the Sabarna Roy Choudhury family and Babu Kaliprasad Datto. The construction began in 1798 and was completed in 1809. Kalighat Temple has been a major spiritual center for centuries, drawing devotees who come to fulfill their wishes. Worshipping Goddess Kali here is believed to free devotees from fear, evil forces, and negative energies, while bringing peace, prosperity, and success into their lives. Additionally, the temple is a symbol of Bengal’s cultural heritage. Major religious festivals such as Durga Puja and Kali Puja are celebrated here with immense grandeur, reflecting the deep spiritual and cultural roots of the region.
