Since then, he has been known as the god of war. According to scriptures, the six-headed Lord Subramanya, also known as Shanmukha, represents the six siddhis and is the bestower of siddhis.
In the name of Kartikeya and Murugan, Subramanya is primarily worshipped in South India.
