To pacify him, Lord Shiva manifested as Sharabha, but the situation worsened, and Vishnu's rage intensified. In response, Lord Vishnu took the Gandaberunda avatar and engaged in battle with Shiva’s Sharabha form. This fierce conflict terrified the entire universe, and neither the gods nor the sages could stop it. At that moment, Adi Shakti herself incarnated as Maa Pratyangira. Her thunderous roar brought an end to the battle, restoring both Sharabha and Gandaberunda to their original divine forms. In this way, Maa Pratyangira prevented cosmic destruction and safeguarded creation. It is believed that her worship grants protection from fear, negative energies, and malevolent forces.
