Maa Vindhyavasini Mandir, Mirzapur- This temple, located on the Vindhya Mountain, is one of the 51 Shaktipeethas of India. It is believed that the toe of Mata Sati's left foot fell here. Here the Goddess is enshrined in her awakened form and is called Mahishasura Mardini. It is also mentioned in the Shiva Purana. It is said that Lord Ram also came here and performed puja. According to some beliefs, Maa Vindhyavasini is Yogamaya, the sister of Lord Krishna.
Maa Katyayani Mandir, Vrindavan- It is believed that the hair of Mata Sati fell here. For this reason, this place holds special significance. Here, Mata Parvati is worshipped in the form of Katyayani. This temple was established by Bhakta Keshavananda Maharaj, whom the Goddess commanded in a dream. The Mother is also known here by the name "Uma". For this reason, this Shaktipeeth is called "Uma Devi Shaktipeeth".
Shaktipeeth Mahalaxmi Ambabai- Shri Mahalaxmi Ambabai Temple, located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, is one of the major Shaktipeethas of India. According to the mythological story, two eyes of Devi Sati fell at this place, since then Mata Laxmi is enshrined here. The idol of Mata Laxmi enshrined in this temple, which is more than 7000 years old, is considered divine and miraculous. The rays of the sun directly reach the feet of Mata Laxmi twice a year. During this time, the Kiranotsav festival is celebrated here.
