Grand Ambubachi Mela Conclusion Special 10 Mahavidya and Maa Kamakhya Tantra Yukta Mahayagya for Mental and Physical Strength

In the Kamakhya Shaktipeeth of Guwahati, is the only Shaktipeeth in the world where all ten Mahavidyas - Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari, Bhuvaneshvari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamala - reside in one place. According to the Kalika Purana, it is here that Lord Brahma created the Nakshatras, and historically it was known as Pragjyotishpur, which means ‘The Light of the East.’ Tantrics from far and wide come to this Shaktipeeth to perform Shakti worship and attain Siddhis (spiritual powers). It is believed that anyone who performs the 10 Mahavidya puja and Maa Kamakhya Tantra Yukta Maha Yagya here receives immense mental and physical strength. Not only this, but all their desires are fulfilled, as the Devi grants them the strength to overcome all adversities. Maa Kamakhya, the symbol of power (shakti), is associated with Tantra and Mantra. Her menstruation is considered a symbol of female power and the cycle created by nature.

Every year, the Ambubachi Festival is celebrated in the month of Ashadha (June). During this time, Maa Kamakhya menstruates, which is why the temple remains closed during the festival period. However, tantric rituals are performed at the end of the festival. The worship of the Maa Kamakhya and 10 Mahavidyas during the conclusion of this festival is considered extremely rewarding. Those devotees who cannot visit Kamakhya Teerth Kshetra during Ambubachi festival can keep the objects which are energised during the puja in their homes. It is believed that by keeping the energised objects obtained from the Kamakhya Teerth Kshetra, one attains blessings for happiness, prosperity, as well as mental and physical strength. Participate in this Grand Ambubachi Mela Conclusion Special 10 Mahavidya and Maa Kamakhya Tantra Yukta Mahayagya and receive the blessings of mental and physical strength from Maa Kamakhya and 10 Mahavidya.

Shaktipeeth Maa Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati, Assam

Shaktipeeth Maa Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati, Assam
Nestled in the lap of Nilachal Hills is Maa Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Temple in Assam in Northeast India. This temple is situated in Kamakhya Teerth Kshetra. The Kamakhya Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeethas, especially known for the practice of Tantra. The Shaktipeethas are sacred spots where parts of the body of Goddess Sati fell during the mythological episode of Lord Shiva's Tandava following her self-immolation.

Shri Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Temple is where Her ‘Yoni’ (womb or vagina) fell. Therefore, this pilgrimage site is associated with desires, relationships, fertility and marital life. She is worshipped here in the form of a stone (supposedly her ‘Yoni) that is kept moist all the year round in the ‘Garvagriha’ or the sanctum sanctorum.

Every year, the Ambubachi Mela is celebrated here in the Kamakhya Teerth Kshetra, during which the doors of the Kamakhya temple are closed and no auspicious activities take place. According to belief, during the Ambubachi Mela, Maa Kamakhya menstruates for three days, causing the water of the Brahmaputra River flowing behind the temple to turn red. Maa Kamakhya, being the Goddess of Desires, blesses her devotees with love, marital bliss, health, wealth and happiness, fulfilling all their wishes.
