🪈 The Divine Story of Krishna Janmashtami:
Lord Krishna was born in a prison in Mathura, where his evil uncle Kansa had imprisoned his parents Devaki and Vasudev. A prophecy had revealed that Devaki’s eighth son would be Kansa’s downfall, so he locked them up. After Krishna was born, Vasudev secretly carried him to Gokul, where he was raised by Nand and Yashoda. In his child form, Laddu Gopal is especially fond of Panchamrit—a sacred mix of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar. Just as newborns are gently rocked in a cradle, it is a tradition to swing Laddu Gopal too, in celebration of his birth.
