Located in the Aliganj area of Lucknow, this ancient Hanuman temple is considered a center of extreme reverence and faith. According to mythological stories, when Lord Shri Ram decided to send Mother Sita to Valmiki Ashram, Shri Lakshman and Shri Hanuman Ji stayed in this area while taking her to Bithoor. Over time, this temple was reconstructed and developed many times, which increased its grandeur and importance further. Today, this temple is considered an extremely important site not only religiously but also culturally, where devotees come with strength, faith, and hope.
This temple becomes a center of excessive reverence especially on every Tuesday of the Jyeshtha month. Moreover, a grand Mahavir Mela is also organized here.
