Kalighat Temple, located in Kolkata, West Bengal, is one of the 51 Shaktipeethas in Hindu tradition. It is dedicated to Goddess Kali, who represents power, energy, and transformation. According to mythology, the toe of Goddess Sati’s right foot fell at this sacred site when Lord Shiva was performing the cosmic dance of Tandava carrying her body.
