Therefore, on this Saturday, Sri Mandir is organising the Saturday Peepal Tree Shani Shila Sthapana Special Puja in Kosi Kalan, where a Shani Shila will be ritually installed and worshipped under a sacred Peepal tree.
This powerful puja includes the Shani Kavach Stotra Path, offering protection from chronic problems, fear, and instability. A Shani Shanti Yagya will also be performed to seek divine intervention and karmic balance. Additionally, the Krishna Govinda Mantra Jaap will be chanted as a tribute to Lord Krishna’s divine connection with Shani Dev. According to legend, when Maa Yashoda didn’t allow Shani Dev to see baby Krishna—fearing his influence—Shani Dev performed penance in a forest near Nandgaon. Pleased with his devotion, Lord Krishna appeared before him in the form of a cuckoo (kokila) and blessed him to stay there forever—thus, the place came to be known as Kokilavan. Chanting Lord Krishna’s name is believed to pacify Shani and bring emotional balance and spiritual comfort during challenging times.
