In response, Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra to behead Swarbhanu. As a result, his head became Rahu, and his headless body became Ketu. This is why Ketu is traditionally symbolized by a serpent-headed figure, representing its headless nature. Since Ketu has no head, it is considered directionless. For this reason, in Vedic astrology, Ketu is regarded as a planet that detaches one from the material world and leads toward spirituality and liberation (Moksha).
