Maa Bagalamukhi is the eighth of the ten Mahavidyas in Hinduism and is revered primarily as the goddess of power, protection, and victory over adversities. Tuesday is dedicated to Devi Bagalamukhi. She is often depicted wearing yellow attire; hence, she is also known as Pitambari (with Peet meaning yellow and Ambara meaning clothing). She is often shown holding the tongue of a demon, symbolising her ability to destroy the intellect of enemies, which is why she is also known as Shatru Buddhi Vinashini. She protects her devotees from all negative influences and adversities. Devotees worship her for protection from financial distress, and she is popularly known for bestowing Dhan Samriddhi (Wealth and Prosperity). She is especially revered within the Shakta community. Her grace transforms financial struggles, helping devotees overcome obstacles such as debt and financial setbacks. Performing the Sarv Karya Siddhi Maha Pitambari Dhan Samriddhi Pujan on Tuesday during the auspicious Kartik month is said to enhance the effects of her blessings, protecting devotees from financial distress and providing relief from debt. Therefore, this will be organised during the auspicious month of Kartik on Tuesday at the Maa Bagalamukhi Temple in Ujjain.
