Shaktipeeth Tara Jayanti Shiv-Shakti Special Maa Tara Tarani Puja and Neelkantheshwar Shiv Rudrabhishek for Removal of Toxicity and Negativity in Life

Don't miss this auspicious opportunity to receive the combined blessings of Maa Tara and Lord Shiva. 🔱✨

Participate in the special rituals of Mahatara Jayanti and receive divine grace to overcome negativity and conquer all challenges. 🔱✨

This year, Mahatara Jayanti will be celebrated on Sunday, 6th April 2025, marking a highly auspicious occasion for the worship of Maa Tara. She is one of the ten Mahavidyas and is revered as the goddess who liberates from hardships, destroys enemies, and grants ultimate salvation. It is believed that special worship performed on this day removes life’s obstacles, eliminates enemy-related troubles, and paves the way for spiritual progress. With Maa Tara’s divine grace, all bitterness and negativity are dispelled from the devotee’s life.

Discover the Legend of Maa Tara’s Origin: When She Herself Saved Mahakaal’s Life 🔱🔥

The story of Maa Tara’s appearance is linked to the Samudra Manthan (churning of the cosmic ocean). When the deadly poison Halahala emerged, Lord Shiva consumed it to save the entire universe. However, the poison was so potent that even Mahakaal (Shiva) was affected by its impact. At that moment, Maa Tara manifested and, as the compassionate Divine Mother, cradled Shiva in her arms and nursed him. Her divine amrit neutralized the effects of the poison, and Shiva was restored to health. This powerful event reveals Maa Tara’s nurturing and protective nature. It is believed that just as she freed Lord Shiva from the grip of poison, she also removes all troubles from the lives of her devotees and blesses them with victory and protection. This day is not only significant for receiving Maa Tara’s grace but also highly auspicious for obtaining Lord Shiva’s blessings. According to the scriptures, the combined worship of Shiva and Shakti on this day frees devotees from all life’s sufferings.

Therefore, on the auspicious occasion of Mahatara Jayanti, a special Maa Tara Tarani Puja and Neelkantheshwar Shiv Rudrabhishek will be organized at the Tarapith Temple, a Shaktipeeth dedicated to Maa Tara. According to ancient beliefs, it is at this sacred site that the eyeball of Goddess Sati is said to have fallen. In the Bengali language, the eyeball is called “Tara”, which is how this place came to be known as Tarapith. You too can become a part of this sacred ritual through Sri Mandir and receive the combined blessings of Shiva and Shakti.

According to ancient legends, Maa Tara manifested during the time of the Samudra Manthan (churning of the cosmic ocean), when deadly poison (vish) emerged. Lord Shiva consumed the poison to save the universe, but as a result, his body began to burn intensely, causing him immense pain. To relieve him, Maa Kali took on another form—Maa Tara—and nursed Lord Shiva, calming the burning sensation in his body. This is why Maa Tara is considered another compassionate form of Maa Kali.
As per the Puranas, the Shri Tarapith Temple in West Bengal is regarded as a powerful center of Tantric worship. Maa Tara, who holds the second position among the Ten Mahavidyas, resides here in her benevolent form. It is believed that when Lord Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra to dismember the body of Maa Sati, her eyeball fell at this sacred spot. In Bengali, the eyeball is called "Tara", which is how the place came to be known as Tarapith. Worship at this holy shrine is believed to remove all forms of suffering and obstacles from a devotee’s life.
