The Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashadha is known as Devshayani Ekadashi, a sacred day marking the onset of Lord Vishnu’s divine slumber, known as Yoganidra. It is believed that from this day begins the Chaturmas period, during which Lord Vishnu remains in deep rest for the next four months. This tithi is considered highly auspicious for spiritual purification, the removal of sins, and the attainment of peace and prosperity. Lord Vishnu, worshipped as the preserver of the universe and the giver of abundance, is believed to bless devotees with wealth, good health, and harmony.
